Four services that hold one line through your software project
A software advisory firm works before you start building or buying. At SEMANU that translates into four services that can be used separately or combined.
Business analysis
We map processes, users, integrations and exceptions so the scope is sharp before quotes are requested. A specification document vendors can quote against on comparable terms.
Vendor selection
As an independent software advisory firm we make vendor promises comparable. Selection criteria, demo scripts, scorecards and quote comparisons ensure you choose on facts, not on the slickest demo.
Project oversight
We guard scope, schedule and quality during implementation. Decisions are documented and acceptance criteria are locked in so handover never ends in a stand-off.
Software strategy
We help management teams make decisions that reach beyond one project. Application landscape, software roadmap and vendor policy for the next two to three years, typically via monthly sparring.
Why independence changes the game in software advice
Many firms call themselves independent while running an implementation partnership with a specific ERP vendor, taking kickbacks on contracts they bring in or having to keep their own developers busy. That colours their advice. SEMANU decouples all of that. As a software advisory firm we sell no software, receive no commissions and implement nothing ourselves. Our revenue comes solely from the advice you buy.
Concretely that means three things. We have no preference for SAP, Odoo, Dynamics, Salesforce or any other vendor. We get no kickback if you pick vendor X over Y. And we have no team of developers that needs to stay billable, so there is no pressure to build something you don't need. The advice you receive is aimed at what your company actually needs.
Small and mid-sized firms in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany
Typical clients are companies between 20 and 500 employees that are considering or just starting a software project. Mostly manufacturing, distribution or services. The person across the table is a founder, CEO, COO, CFO or operations manager. Usually no in-house IT team that can run a software selection from scratch, but someone who owns the project.
We work in Dutch, English and French across the Benelux, and in German for Germany and East Belgium. French-speaking projects in Wallonia and France are equally possible. For every substantive conversation we work under mutual NDA, so sensitive company information stays protected from the first call.
Analysis first, tangible deliverables second
An engagement at our software advisory firm doesn't end with a PowerPoint recommendation. You get tangible documents your vendor or implementation partner can use straight away: process analysis, requirements document, project scope, vendor scorecard, quote comparison, risk analysis, business case and acceptance criteria. No fuzzy reports, but working documents the project is built on.
What further sets us apart is depth across four software domains: ERP selection, AI assistants, custom software and 3D configurators. For each we host a free Readiness Check on the site, so ten questions give you an honest picture of where your project stands today. A low-friction way to get acquainted without commitment.
